I never would have thought..

that we'd have the same number of kids in the bath as my parents did. I always thought that was sick and wrong....ahhh sigh. There might even be one picture of me, Ann, Jared, Corinne and Lance in the bath. But I'm not sure about that.

Halloween 2010

I thought I'd better include the year in the title of this post since it's been almost an entire year since my last.
We went with the Sumo wrestler again with Calvin since we moved I feel like I can reuse some of my past inspiration. We sprayed his hair black and put it in a tiny bun on top but you can't see it.

Indiana was a mermaid, Beren was Wacko from animaniacs and Asher was Harry Potter. I wasn't that excited about making the Harry Potter costume b/c it's not very original but when he put on those glasses, he looks just like the Harry from the Sorcerer's Stone. We didn't cut his hair for a few weeks after he needed it to give him the shaggy look.

Since we're Lost fans Bart was a Dharma worker from Hydra Island making instructional videos and I was the smoke monster. I had a little MP3 player playing the sounds that it makes on a loop. I kind of look more like a black sheep....

We had our annual Fondue party and here's some shots of our friends. My favorite was the rabid vet.

Half Marathon

I decided to do a half marathon this year mostly to get ready for the triathlon I wanted to do this summer. I really like triathlons b/c of the swimming and I really don't like running which is the hardest for me. So I thought if I could get the running down it would be a piece of cake for the tri. I trained for 3 1/2 months almost every saturday morning doing a long run and a couple shorter runs during the week plus cross training. I had hoped to at least do it at a 10 minute mile but I finished with a 9:34 minute mile and my finish time was 2:05. So I was really happy about it. It was a totally flat course which is why I did that specific race (there are some cooler courses like the rock and roll run in Seattle but has way too many hills). This one was in Snoqualmie and I got to run right under Mt Si where Bart proposed to me.

Bart went fishin'...again

These are the 2 lingcod and one cabezon that he brought home whole. He had his 10 rock fish fileted in Westport. Needless to say, we have lots of fish in the freezer. Oh and bart's parents gave him (I like to think it was for "us") a vacuum sealer that is soooo sweet!!

Bedtime

Since we live in a 3 bedroom apt Calvin gets his own room and the older 3 have to share. Indiana has a little todler bed that she normally sleeps in but she gets jealous of the boys being together. Beren also has his own bed on the top bunk but he likes to share. It's strange that this is one of the few times they like to be together :)

Long Beach, WA

I thought I had published this but just realized I must have only saved it. We went to Long Beach over Valentine's day weekend (my friend had a time share she couldn't use for the first 3 days so we went instead) It wasn't very "romantic" since we had our four kids with us but it was lots of fun. And for being in the middle of winter the weather turned out great.

Beren was mesmerized by the dead seal. It was pretty stinky and it's guts were falling out.

Mariners Fan Fest

We went to fan fest a couple months ago and had a great time. Ryan Roland-Smith is signing Beren's ball. He's a pitcher from Australia. We got to see the locker rooms, weight rooms and see some Mariners players walking around.
